How To Use Purification Essential Oil

Today starts the beginning of my new 10 week series on using essential oils. I’ve learned so much about these beautiful oils and I want to share what I’ve learned with you. I asked the members of my facebook group (you can join my essential oils group here) which oil they would like to learn about this week. They picked Purification Essential Oil Blend.

About Purification Essential Oil

Purification is a blend of Citronella, Lemongrass, Lavandin, Rosemary, Melaleuca alternifolia and Myrtle essential oils. This purifying blend helps to cleanse and disinfect the air and neutralizes odors.

How To Use Purification Essential Oil

I use Purification all the time for so many different things and I’m excited to share them with you! Purification Essential Oil Blend has many uses around the home and for your health and wellness. Here are some uses for Purification Essential Oil:

  1. How To Use Purification Essential OilAir freshener and purifier. Diffuse Purification oil to eliminate odors and purify the air. If you do not have a diffuser, put drops of oil on a cotton ball and place in air vents or mix with water to make a spray. This is great to get rid of kitchen smells or to clean out a stinky car!
  2. Insect bites. Put a drop or two of Purification oil on an itchy bite for immediate relief. Apply on mosquito bites to stop itching.
  3. Simple all natural deodorant. Apple a few dabs of purification to your arm pits daily. Purification helps to keep you sticky free all day! Add a drop of sage essential oil if you need a natural antiperspirant.
  4. Keep fleas away with this homemade flea spray: 1/2 cup of Distilled water, 8-10 Drops Purification Essential Oil, 1 Drop of Thieves Hand Soap or Castile Soap. Place in a spray bottle and shake. Spritz daily to stay flea free.
  5. Skin blemishes. Put a drop of Purification oil on a pimple to help it clear up faster. I also like to add a drop to my jar of coconut oil that I keep in my bathroom. I use this to moisturize my face daily.
  6. Sterilize cuts and wounds.
  7. Sore throat. Rub a drop of Purification oil on the outside of throat when sore throat first appears.
  8. Stinky shoes. Put a few drops of Purification oil on cotton balls and place in shoes.
  9. Insect repellent. Make your own insect spray with Purification oil to repel pests. Mix with water or alcohol and spray on clothing as a mosquito/bug repellent
  10. Add a few drops to clean your washer machine. Set your machine on rinse cycle and add 2-3 drops of purification oil. You can also add a few drops to your laundry detergent to get rid of the sour smells.
  11. Freshen cloths in the dryer. Add a drop or two to your dryer balls to freshen up cloths in the dryer. If you don’t use dryer balls you can add a few drops to a damp wash cloth and toss it in the dryer.
  12. Flu prevention. Mix a drop of Purification oil with a carrier oil and, using a cotton swab, swab the inside of the nose to prevent the flu.
  13. Germ protection when traveling. Put a few drops on your hands and inhale during a flight. This can help get rid of germs from the recycled air.
  14. Wet dog smell.  When your dog comes in from the rain, diffuse Purification oil to get rid of the smell.
  15. Freshen dishes. Add  drop to your rinse agent (I only use vinegar to rinse my dishes) to help freshen your dishes and to keep your dishwasher clean.
  16. Keep blisters clean. Swab a blister with Purification essential oil and it will be clean the blister naturally and help it heal quickly.

    10 drops peppermint

Mix ingredients into a glass spray bottle. Spray and enjoy those long summer nights pest free.

Hi and thanks for the awesome drawing! I haven’t had the pleasure of trying Purification yet as I’m just getting started in EOs, but I know that I would definitely be using it for flu prevention especially with my dad. He is 73 and has several health issues and has been in the ICU 5 times in the last year for different things including MRSA and the flu. We don’t like to get any vaccines, not even the flu vaccine, because of all of the nasty stuff in them so this would be a real blessing to have. It would also be great to have for the bug repellant aspects since I get eaten alive when I work in my garden. Thanks again for the great drawing and good luck to everyone!

I really do love the idea of using essential oils. I’ve never realized how healthy they are until I started reading all this information that is now coming out online.
At present, I use Tea Tree Oil and Oil of Oregano only. Tea tree oil is great for dabbing on a budding cold sore. It can be gone in a day if you start applying it as soon as you feel it coming on. I’ve added it to homemade toothpaste, as well as homemade deodorant. I’ve used it kids cuts.
Oregano oil…I guess it’s not an essential oil, is it? That’s the best thing to stop a cold when you first feel it coming on.
I would love to get more oils, however the prices are pretty steep when funds are limited.
Thanks once again for the opportunity. I love, love, love this website.

Every time I see a tv commercial or advertisement these days, my mind automatically goes through the list of EOs to see what could be used instead of buying that product. I wish more people realized how much money they could save and be using healthy EOs instead of so many chemicals. I learn something new every day.
