It’s time to announce the winner of the Plant Therapy Essential Oil giveaway!
And the winner is…….
I’m in love with essential oils. I’m finding more ways to use them in my home everyday.
I started using essential oils when I made my first body butter and lotion bars last year. I was hesitant to use them because I’m very sensitive to strong fragrances. What I learned was that essential oils are very different from synthetic fragrances that are in most body care products. Perfumes, lotions, cleaning products and body sprays often make feel sick and sometimes even dizzy. This is not the case when I make my own products with 100% pure essential oils. Now that I’ve discovered essential oils I’m using them daily in my home.
Deodorant. Most of us can’t live without it. Unfortunately, most deodorants on the market are made with toxin ingredients that are hazardous to our health. A common ingredient used in most antiperspirants is aluminum, which has been linked to breast cancer and has also been linked to an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
Today I’m going to share a tested and approved deodorant recipe that my family has been using – without the junk and made with coconut oil, of course!

Happy Tuesday! Every Tuesday I share a tip that I’ve found useful in my kitchen or home.
Today’s tip was inspired by a question I received on facebook the other day. One of my readers told me they were trying to avoid soy and was looking for an alternative to soy sauce. Soy is everything and it is very difficult to avoid it. When a recipe calls for soy sauce I use coconut aminos instead. I love the taste of coconut aminos! It is very similar to soy sauce and works well as a replacement.
It’s time for our weekly giveaway! Every week I host a giveaway where my readers can enter to win fun kitchen gadgets and organic food supplies. This week I’m giving away 1 – 5 Gallon Bucket of Organic Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil to one lucky winner!
This is enough coconut oil to last a year (or more)!
