Avocado Body Butter

Rich, dreamy Avocado Body Butter softens scars, wrinkles, and redness. With just three ingredients you can whip up your own!

Ingredients

1 cup avocado butter

1/4 cup avocado oil, unrefined

1 tablespoon vitamin E oil

Optional: 20 drops essential oil of your choice

Instructions

Melt the avocado butter in a double boiler over low heat.

Once melted, remove from heat and mix in the avocado oil. Let cool until semi-solid, but still soft, (~2 hours). Move to the fridge to hasten the process.

When semi-solid, use a standing or handheld mixer with whisk attachments to whip the mixture into a cream, approximately 2 minutes.

Add the vitamin E oil and essential oils (if using). Whisk a few times more to incorporate.

Scoop the body butter into an airtight jar. Store in a cool, dry place for up to six months. Smooth onto skin daily for delectable hydration!

Notes

If the body butter feels greasy, add 2 teaspoons of arrowroot or corn starch to provide a cleaner sensation.
