Blueberry Barbecue Sauce with Apple Cider Vinegar

This barbecue sauce is bright and lively, and pairs insanely well with both chicken and pork. Bonus: The kiddos are going to love it!

Ingredients

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1/2 cup sugar free ketchup (like Paleo Kitchen)

2 tablespoons diced yellow onion

1 tablespoon organic maple syrup

1/2 teaspoon hot smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Notes

Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. When mixture comes to a light boil, reduce heat to low, and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Process until smooth using an immersion blender.

Let cool completely, and store in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
