DIY Candy Cane Lip Balm
This Candy Cane Lip Balm is such a fun seasonal project — plus your lips will thank you! Pair it with your homemade lip scrub for a complete holiday lip care routine.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons carrier oil (such as jojoba)
- 2 tablespoons beeswax
- 1 1/2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 5 drops essential oil*
- Pinch of red mica powder (optional)
Candy Cane Essential Oil Blend:
- 3 drops spearmint essential oil
- 2 drops vanilla oleoresin
Instructions
- Melt the Base
- Add beeswax, carrier oil, and coconut oil to a double boiler.
- Heat gently until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
- Cool Slightly
- Remove from heat and let cool for 1–2 minutes.
- This prevents heat from damaging the essential oils.
- Add Color + Scent
- Stir in a pinch of red mica powder until fully blended.
- Add essential oils and mix again.
- Pour into Tubes
- Carefully fill empty lip balm tubes or tins.
- (A small funnel or pipette helps prevent spills!)
- Set & Store
- Allow balms to fully cool and harden before capping.
- Label and enjoy!
