A fresh-smelling fridge doesn’t require expensive products or artificial fragrances. With just two simple ingredients, you can create a powerful, all-natural deodorizer that keeps odors at bay. It’s quick, inexpensive, and completely free of harmful chemicals.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine ¼ cup baking soda and ¼ cup activated charcoal. Stir well to blend the two powders evenly.
  2. Transfer the mixture into a clean, dry glass jar.
  3. Secure the jar with a strainer lid or frog lid. If you don’t have one, you can poke small holes into a regular jar lid or cover the top with a piece of breathable fabric secured by a rubber band.
  4. Place the jar in your refrigerator in a stable spot.
  5. Leave it for 3–4 weeks, then empty and replace the mixture with a fresh batch.
