This DIY natural mascara is made with simple ingredients and is an excellent option for those looking for natural makeup alternatives.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients.
In a small bowl, stir the activated charcoal and bentonite clay together until fully combined.

  2. Mix the wet ingredients.
In a separate bowl, mix the vegetable glycerin and aloe vera gel until smooth.

  3. Combine wet and dry.
Slowly pour the aloe and glycerin mixture into the charcoal and clay mixture. Stir thoroughly until a smooth, paste-like consistency forms.

  4. Adjust the consistency.
If the mixture feels too thick, add small drops of additional aloe vera gel or vegetable glycerin until the texture is smooth and creamy, perfect for applying with a mascara wand.

  5. Fill the mascara tube.
Using a pipette or small funnel, transfer the mascara into your clean, empty mascara tube.

  6. Ready to use!
Apply as you would any regular mascara. Be sure to give the tube a good shake before each use if any separation occurs.
