  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine your almond flour and sifted powdered sugar. Mix them until there are no lumps.
  2. Add the water and rum essence to the dry mixture. Mix the ingredients until they come together to form a ball of dough. Alternatively, if you have a food processor, you can use it to make the dough. Simply pulse a couple of times until the dough holds together and forms a ball.
  3. Knead the dough on a clean surface and shape it into a log. If the dough feels too sticky, dust your surface with an additional tablespoon of powdered sugar.
  4. Wrap the dough in cling film and refrigerate it until it becomes firm, which should take approximately one hour. After refrigeration, you can shape the marzipan, use it for making cookies, or enjoy it as it is!
