Yield:one application 1x
Ingredients
2 tablespoons uncooked rice
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
2 drops essential oils (optional, I used rosemary)
Instructions
Place the rice in a bowl and rinse thoroughly under water. Swirl it around until the water runs clear—this removes excess starch and impurities.
Add ½ cup of hot water to the rinsed rice and let it soak for up to 24 hours. Cover the bowl loosely with a cloth or lid. Once done, strain out the rice and keep the water.
In a small bowl, stir the essential oil (if using) into the aloe vera gel.
Add 2 tablespoons of the strained rice water to the aloe vera mixture. Whisk until smooth and slightly frothy.
On clean, damp hair, apply the mask starting at the scalp. Massage in gently and work your way down to the ends. Leave it on for 20–30 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. No need to shampoo again unless your hair feels oily.
