Whipped Body Butter

This whipped body butter recipe is soft and creamy, almost like a cloud! 

INGREDIENTS: You will need 1/3 cup coconut oil, 1/3 cup shea butter, 1/3 cup cocoa butter, 1/3 cup jojoba oil, and optional ingredients: 2 tsp arrowroot powder, and essential oils.

STEP ONE: Prepare a double boiler over low heat. You can also use a saucepan filled with water with a glass bowl.

STEP TWO: Measure 2.5 ounces of coconut oil, approximately 1⁄3 cup, and add it to the bowl.

STEP THREE: Measure 2.5 ounces of shea butter, approximately 1⁄3 cup, and add it to the bowl.

STEP FOUR: Measure 2.5 ounces of cocoa butter, approximately 1⁄3 cup, and add it to the bowl.

STEP FIVE: Measure 2.5 ounces of jojoba oil, approximately 1⁄3 cup, and add it to the bowl.

STEP SIX: Bring the oils to medium heat and stir constantly until all ingredients are melted. Remove from heat and let cool.

STEP SEVEN: Move to the fridge and let cool another 1 hour or until starting to harden but still somewhat soft.

STEP EIGHT: Use a hand mixer to whip for 10 minutes until fluffy. Add essential oils and whip for another minute.

ADD ARROWROOT: Body butter is an oil-based moisturizer and can feel a little greasy on some skin types. Adding arrowroot powder or cornstarch helps to cut the greasy feeling on your skin.
