Apple Cider Vinegar Hot Sauce is an amazing and spicy addition to any meal! And making your own is so easy to do!
1/2 tablespoon coconut oil
1/2 cup red onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 jalapeño peppers, diced
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon maple syrup or coconut sugar
pinch of salt + pepper
1/4 cup water (optional)
Heat 1/2 tablespoon of coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
Add onion, garlic, and peppers to the pan and sauté until peppers are soft (5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
Transfer the sautéed veggies into a blender, then add the apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt + pepper. Blend for 1 minute. If desired, drizzle water into the blender until the sauce becomes runnier.
Cool completely then pour into jars or bottles and store in the fridge. Douse on top of every dish!
