Category:Juicing
Method:Juicer
Ingredients
1 large beet or 2 small beets
3 green apples
1-inch peach of ginger root
Instructions
Peel the beets and ginger. Chop the beets and apples into large pieces.
Feed the beets, ginger, and apples through the juicer chute.
Once you’ve fed all the chopped beets, ginger, and green apples through the juicer, turn it off and pour the juice into a serving glass.
Depending on the type of juicer you own, you may need to strain the juice through a cheese cloth-lined fine mesh strainer.
Blender Instructions:
Chop the beets, apples, and ginger into small pieces.
Add the chopped beets, ginger, and apples into the blender and cover with 1-2 cups of cold water.
Blend on high until the beets are blended into pulp. Add more water as needed.
Once the beets are blended, pour the beet mixture through a nut milk bag or cheese cloth-lined mesh strainer.
Squeeze excess juice out of the cloth.
You can save the juice pulp for baking or compost it.
Store leftover juice in a glass jar with a splash of lemon or lime juice (this helps the juice from oxidizing).
Clean up quickly to prevent staining on your juicing workspace.
