Ingredients
16 ounces cottage cheese (I use low-fat, but you can use fat-free or 2%)
3 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix*
Instructions
Pour the cottage cheese into a blender and add the seasoning mix. Blend on high for 15 seconds or until the mixture is blended well.
Pour the ranch dressing into a container and refrigerate.
Use as you would traditional ranch. This recipe makes a thick dressing or dip. Add 1-2 tablespoons of milk to the blender to thin the dressing. Blend and add more milk until it reaches the desired consistency.
Transfer to a jar or container with a lid and refrigerate. It’ll thicken slightly as it chills. Use it as a dip, dressing, or spread!
Ranch Seasoning*
You can buy ranch seasoning mix or make your own. Below is my go-to homemade ranch seasoning mix.
Homemade Ranch Seasoning Mix
⅓ cup buttermilk powder
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon onion powder
3 teaspoons dried parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons dried dill
1 1/2 teaspoons dried chives
1 teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon sugar
¼ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
¼ teaspoon mustard powder
Mix the herbs and buttermilk powder together in a bowl and store them in an airtight container.
