If you love the smell of coffee then you need to make this homemade candle made with fresh ground coffee and coffee essential oil!

Ingredients

*The amount of wax you need will depend on the size of the mug you use. I fill my mug with beeswax pellets and use the amount the fills the mug for the candle making project.

Instructions

  1. Grind your whole coffee beans and measure out the beeswax. The amount of wax you need will depend on the size of your coffee mug.
  2. Add the wax to a double boiler and place it over medium-high heat. Stir the wax until it completely melts.
  3. Once the wax is fully melted, remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Add the ground coffee and essential oil to the melted wax and stir to incorporate the fragrance.
  5. Next, you’ll want to attach the wick to the bottom of the mug. I prefer to use wicks with a self-adhesive sticker, but you can also use glue to affix the wick to the center of the mug.
  6. Once the candle wick is securely placed, use a chopstick or a popsicle stick to keep the wick centered while pouring the wax.
  7. Carefully pour the melted wax into the empty mug.
  8. Fill it up to the top of the candle, leaving about a half-inch of space at the top.
  9. After the wax has cooled and solidified, trim the wick to the desired length, and your coffee-scented candle is ready to use.
