Ingredients

Instructions

½ teaspoon grated beeswax

½ teaspoon castor oil

¼ teaspoon pure aloe vera gel

¼ teaspoon black or dark cacao powder or activated charcoal.

¼ teaspoon bentonite clay

Step 1: Add the grated beeswax, castor oil, and aloe vera gel to a small saucepan. I used a Turkish coffee pot.

Step 2: Heat over medium heat until they are melted and combined.

Step 3: Working quickly, add the cacao powder and the bentonite clay and stir until combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a few drops more castor oil.

Step 4: Place into a shallow container or a mascara tube if you wish. I don’t use a mascara tube as it is more difficult to adjust the consistency if it dries out over time.

Step 5: Roll your mascara brush in the mascara and wipe off the excess before applying.
