This melt-and-pour turmeric soap is great for sensitive skin and is an easy DIY recipe for beginner soap makers!
Instructions
- Use a knife to cut the soap base into small chunks.
- Place the cut soap into a heat-proof measuring bowl.
- Place the bowl in the microwave and melt the soap in 30-second intervals until it melts completely, about 2 1/2 minutes.
- Allow the soap base to cool slightly before adding the turmeric and essential oils.
- Add one teaspoon of ground turmeric powder to the bowl and mix with a silicon spatula.
- Add the essential oils and continue to mix until thoroughly combined.
- Place the soap molds on a flat surface and pour the soap base into the molds, filling each mold to the top.
- Continue to fill until the soap is gone.
- Allow the soap to cure for 4-8 hours. You may place the turmeric soap into the fridge to speed up the process.
- Do not be tempted to freeze the soap bars, as this may cause the soap to separate and not set correctly.
- Once the soap has set, you may remove it from the soap mold.
- Store the soap in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
