2-M’s Malt N Burger Mart in Rosenberg announced that it will permanently close on September 15, 2026, ending a legacy that dates back to 1963. Although the restaurant briefly closed in 2021, it reopened under new ownership in 2023, giving longtime fans another chance to enjoy its classic burgers, fries, shakes, and nostalgic atmosphere.
Owner Tyler Risinger said the restaurant has struggled with escalating expenses, particularly the sharp increase in beef prices. Higher costs for ingredients and day-to-day operations also contributed to the difficult decision to close.
In a message to customers, Risinger thanked the community for its support and encouraged diners to visit before the restaurant serves its final meal.
