Hey, I’m Tiffany! I’m a mama of three beautiful coconuts and they are the reason I named my website, The Coconut Mama. My children smelled of coconuts when they were infants (because they were always rubbed with coconut oil or eating coconut butter) and were nicknamed coconut babies by my friends and family.
When I started blogging on this site in 2010, I focused on natural coconut recipes for food and DIY beauty. Of course, woman does not live by coconut alone, so over the years I’ve shared my culinary and do-it-yourself adventures on all things natural. For example, my most popular recipe is my homemade body butter recipe.
To this day, though, many of my creations involve coconut!
More Coconut Mamas
Over the years, several like-minded Coconut Mamas have joined what is now a team! Each brings her own skills and interests, making our community more varied and more interesting!
- Launie pairs her amazing recipes with her amazingly beautiful photography.
- Diana is a registered dietician with a specialty in diabetes care. She is especially adept in deep-dive projects like when she detailed everything a home cook would want to know about 61 different flours (e.g. their uses, nutritional content, shelf lives, their gluten status, how to substitute them for all-purpose flour, etc.).
- Sarah is an Australian who lives in Europe and is a lover of both baking and the world’s cuisines. So it’s no surprise that we go to her with hard baking questions and when we want to create fun food lists (did we mention she’s a certified nutritionist?)
- Erin is an avid home cook and baker and possibly the most curious of all of us! That comes through in her wide-ranging first-person writing and videos where she could be doing a food-focused product test one day and a do-it-yourself beauty mask the next day. You’ll also see her frequently jumping in to answer your comments or questions across the site and our social media!
- Carly is as comfortable in the kitchen as any of us, but she spends a lot of her time figuring out how to navigate special diets when eating out. Not sure which coffee shops carry your favorite oat milk? Carly will know!
- Amy, like me, is passionate about creating recipes, whether for eating, for drinking, or for making your skin baby-smooth!
- Rebekah is a real-deal homesteader and helps us all learn to do things she’s done a million times, like canning and fermenting.
Whether you have been following my website since 2010 or you’ve stumbled on some of our more recent content, we are all excited for you and hope we can share this get-it-done-naturally passion together!
