
Jelly Belly Candy Company has announced a new round of layoffs at its California headquarters in Fairfield, impacting dozens of employees and adding to broader workforce reductions across the food manufacturing industry. The layoffs are planned to begin in June 2026 through early 2027.
Dozens of jobs eliminated in Fairfield
According to state WARN filings, Jelly Belly will lay off 69 corporate and administrative employees at its Fairfield headquarters. The affected roles include positions in marketing, information technology, finance, and customer service.
The company said the layoffs are part of a restructuring effort following its 2023 acquisition by Ferrara Candy Company, as operations are streamlined and certain functions are consolidated.
Factory operations will continue
Jelly Belly emphasized that the layoffs do not affect candy production, warehouse staff, or its popular factory tour and visitor center in Fairfield. Manufacturing of the company’s well-known jelly beans will continue, and the facility will remain a major production hub for the brand.
