One of Arizona’s longtime upscale dining destinations has quietly served its final meal. Seasons 52 has permanently closed its Phoenix restaurant, ending the chain’s 16-year presence in the state.
Last Arizona location shuts down
The restaurant was located at Biltmore Fashion Park in Phoenix and had operated since 2010, when Seasons 52 opened its first Arizona location as part of the brand’s national expansion. The closure leaves the chain with no remaining locations in Arizona.
Known for its seasonally inspired menu, wine program, and lighter-calorie entrees, Seasons 52 developed a loyal following among Phoenix diners over the years. The restaurant was one of the center’s longest-tenured dining tenants and helped establish Biltmore Fashion Park as a destination for upscale dining and shopping.
Part of the Darden restaurant family
Seasons 52 is owned by Darden Restaurants, the company behind well-known chains including Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Yard House, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
While Darden has not publicly announced a broader reduction of Seasons 52 locations, the brand has experienced several closures in recent years, including restaurants in Kansas City and Sacramento. (Recently, Darden Restaurants closed the remaining locations of the once-popular chain Bahama Breeze nationwide.)
Biltmore Fashion Park continues to evolve
The closure comes as Biltmore Fashion Park undergoes significant changes. New ownership has announced redevelopment plans and continues to bring new retail, wellness, and dining concepts to the property. Several new tenants are expected to open in the coming months as the center reshapes its tenant mix.
For longtime customers, however, the closure marks the end of an era. After 16 years in Phoenix, Seasons 52’s departure leaves Arizona diners saying goodbye to a restaurant that became a fixture of the city’s dining scene.
