Methodology
To compile the top 10, we went to the Interbrand Best Global Brands Top 100 list from 2024 and took the top 10 food and drink brands (vs. things like electronics or cars).
Interbrand makes its brand list based on three factors (Financial Forecast, Role of Brand, and Brand Strength).
Add it all together, and it’s a measure of the brands we’re collectively loyal to … the brands we vote with our money for, and are likely to continue to.

#10 Kellogg’s

It’s not shocking that the maker of so many of our favorite breakfast cereals and snacks makes the list.
Kellogg’s cereals include Frosted Flakes, Raisin Bran, Apple Jacks, and Special K.
And its delicious snacks include Keebler cookies and crackers, Cheez-Its, Pringles, Pop-Tarts, and Eggo waffles.

#9 Danone

This one may surprise you.
In the US, we know it as Dannon (to sound more American than the French Danone), and many of us love its fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt, among other products.
But it gets more of its sales in Europe than the United States…remember, this is a global list!

#8 Corona

Yup, that refreshing beer with a lime, screams beach and relaxation.
It’s good enough to make Corona the second beer to make the top 10 (the first one is coming up soon!).

#7 Nestle

Nestle makes so much good stuff, including KitKat bars, Gerber baby food, Nesquik, Stouffer’s, and Nestle Toll House chocolate chips.
And let’s not forget its food for pets: Purina ONE, Fancy Feast, and Friskies.
Nestle makes so many good products that one of its sub-brands is also in the top 10!

#6 Budweiser

The King of Beers is the highest-ranking beer on the list.
We noted that Jack Daniels doesn’t make the list. Neither did any hard alcohol or wine brands.
All hail the beers!

#5 Nescafe

We mentioned that Nestle’s sub-brand, Nescafe, garnered a place on its own.
This instant coffee is popular worldwide (vs. in one particular region).
Very impressive, Nestle!

#4 Starbucks

The world’s favorite coffee shop definitely makes this list!
Believe it or not, Starbucks has over 40,000 stores worldwide (almost half in North America).

#3 Pepsi

Pepsi is the #3 food or drink brand in the world!
It’s so much more than its sodas, though. It owns Gatorade as well as Frito-Lay (Ruffles, Doritos, and Cheetos, anyone?).

#2 McDonald’s

Similar to Starbucks, McDonald’s has over 40,000 locations worldwide.
It’s served billions and billions.
Yeah, it gets its share of jokes at its expense, but it stays in business for a reason.
And it’s still the best fast food breakfast out there!

#1 Coca-Cola

No one needs to buy the world a Coke…
We’re all already all over it!
Heck, the #2 Brand (McDonald’s) serves it at its restaurants.
Which contributes to its annual sales of almost $50 billion!
