Texas has more Little Caesars restaurants than any other state, but Michigan has the most per residentโa surprising reversal for the Detroit-born pizza chain. While some customers debate whether Little Caesars still offers a bargain, the companyโs restaurant map reveals another twist: West Virginia ranks second per capita with just 52 locations.
An October 16, 2026 snapshot from StoreLocationData, compiled from Little Caesarsโ public store locator, identifies 4,385 locations across the 50 states. The per-capita ranking uses the U.S. Census Bureauโs July 1, 2025 population estimates and measures restaurants per 100,000 residents.

The 10 states with the most Little Caesars restaurants
- Texas โ 580 restaurants
- California โ 562 restaurants
- Michigan โ 316 restaurants
- Florida โ 254 restaurants
- Georgia โ 186 restaurants
- Ohio โ 162 restaurants
- Illinois โ 150 restaurants
- Tennessee โ 149 restaurants
- North Carolina โ 146 restaurants
- Arizona โ 124 restaurants
Texas leads California by just 18 locations, 580 to 562. Michigan follows in third with 316, well ahead of Floridaโs 254. That gap is especially notable because Florida has more than twice Michiganโs population. Georgia completes the top five, followed by Ohio and Illinois.
Tennessee makes eighth place with 149 restaurants, three more than North Carolina, despite having nearly four million fewer residents. New York does not appear anywhere in the overall top ten. Its 85 Little Caesars locations put it behind Kentucky, Indiana and Alabama, among others, even though New York is much more populous.
The 10 states with the most Little Caesars restaurants per capita
Adjusting for population completely reshuffles the standings. These rates are locations per 100,000 residents, rounded to two decimal places. The ranking order uses unrounded results.
- Michigan โ 316 restaurants; 3.12 per 100,000 residents
- West Virginia โ 52 restaurants; 2.94 per 100,000 residents
- Utah โ 86 restaurants; 2.43 per 100,000 residents
- Kentucky โ 109 restaurants; 2.37 per 100,000 residents
- Mississippi โ 67 restaurants; 2.27 per 100,000 residents
- Tennessee โ 149 restaurants; 2.04 per 100,000 residents
- Alabama โ 100 restaurants; 1.93 per 100,000 residents
- Wyoming โ 11 restaurants; 1.87 per 100,000 residents
- New Mexico โ 39 restaurants; 1.83 per 100,000 residents
- Texas โ 580 restaurants; 1.83 per 100,000 residents
Michiganโs 316 restaurants translate to 3.12 per 100,000 residents, putting it first. California, despite having nearly twice as many restaurants, has only 1.43 per 100,000 and drops out of the top ten. That is a striking difference between sheer size and concentration.
West Virginia climbs all the way to second place with just 52 restaurants, or 2.94 per 100,000 people. Utah and Kentucky come next. Mississippi also makes the top five with 67 restaurants, a state that barely registers on the overall count list. The smaller populations of these states help push them up the ranking.
Wyoming is another surprise. Only 11 Little Caesars locations are listed there, but that is enough for eighth place per capita. New Mexico reaches ninth with 39. Meanwhile, Texas falls from first overall to tenth per capita, with 1.83 restaurants per 100,000 peopleโless than two-thirds Michiganโs rate.
The regional contrast is hard to miss. Michigan and several Appalachian and Southern states show far more Little Caesars locations relative to population than coastal giants. New Yorkโs 85 restaurants, for example, amount to only about 0.42 per 100,000 residents, roughly one-seventh Michiganโs concentration.
These figures measure the chainโs restaurant footprint, not how much pizza people actually eat. Still, the two rankings show why a state with only a few dozen locations can have a stronger per-person presence than one with hundreds.
