It’s utterly amazing how many celebrity alcohols there have been over the years.
The reason is simple…
It’s an absolute gold rush.
The game is to launch an alcohol, using your famousness as your marketing…and then sell to a large alcohol company.
For example, George Clooney famously started Casamigos (a high-end tequila brand) with two partners. They sold to Diageo (which owns tons of brands like Johnnie Walker, Captain Morgan, Smirnoff, etc.) for somewhere between $700 million and $1 billion (!)
As one of the pioneers of this trend, Casamigos needs to be on our list. Let’s see the other ten…

818 Tequila – Kendall Jenner
Named for Kendall Jenner’s area code for her hometown (Calabasas, CA), the tequila brand will do promotions like the recent “818 mini bag charm set.”
Heaven’s Door – Bob Dylan
Is there a better name out there? Probably not. This whiskey was co-created by Dylan.
Proper No. Twelve – Conor McGregor
Irish whiskey, of course!
Virginia Black – Drake
Co-created by Drake, this is a bourbon. Drake and his partner as make a champagne called Mod Selection.
Invivo X, SJP – Sarah Jessica Parker
This is a wine collection (of course!) with Sarah Jessica Parker collaborating with Invivo & Co. It’s won some serious awards, so it’s not just a celebrity name.
Maison No. 9 Rose – Post Malone
Is a rose what you would have guessed from a collaboration from Austin Richard Post? We would have guessed something harder, but maybe that’s why Post Malone is so popular. Always surprising us!
Crystal Head Vodka – Dan Akroyd
When he’s not out busting ghosts, Dan Akroyd is helping to design vodka skulls…maybe the winner for “best presentation”!
Two Lane American Golden Lager – Luke Bryan
The beer from this Country star is made in Virginia and features water from the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Teremana Tequila – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
The Rock’s tequila’s goal is “to create a high quality, responsibly sourced tequila that brings people together.”
Aviation Gin – Ryan Reynolds
Similar to Clooney’s Casamigos, Reynolds’ Aviation Gin was sold to Diageo. He and his partner (Davos Brands) look to make between $335 million and $610 million.
