The closure comes not because of poor performance, but because the landlord has chosen not to renew the lease, forcing the beloved location to shutter its doors.
Lease dispute ends long run of popular location
The Boca Raton Hooters has been a fixture in Palm Beach County since its opening in 2010, known for its energetic atmosphere, locally engaged staff, and, in recent years, a viral TikTok and Instagram presence that helped it connect with customers far beyond Florida.
However, with the plaza’s landlord not extending the lease, the restaurant announced it will close by the end of February — a move that surprised both staff and longtime patrons. (Hooters has shuttered several locations since filing for bankruptcy in 2025.)
