Wingstop, the fast-casual chicken wing chain known for its variety of bold flavor offerings, is preparing to roll out its first ever company-wide loyalty program. The program has been dubbed Club Wingstop, and is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026, following positive pilot testing in late 2025.
The announcement was made as part of Wingstop’s recent earnings calls and investor updates, where executives detailed how the brand’s digital infrastructure sets the stage for a next-generation rewards platform.
Eager audience
Despite the fact that more than 70% of sales are done through digital channels, Wingstop hasn’t had a formal loyalty program before. The Wingstop app database includes over 60 million users who will stand to benefit from the loyalty program.
According to CEO Michael Skipworth, the Club Wingstop royalty program “…is just another tool in our digital flywheel that would allow us to drive behavior and win more of the occasions we are best positioned to win”. The goal is to drive repeat visits and deeper guest engagement by offering personalized perks and experiences, rather than simple discounts.
Early pilot results have reportedly exceeded expectations for sign-ups and interaction, validating the decision to move forward with a loyalty program.
More than discounts
Unlike many traditional points-for-discount models, the Club Wingstop is expected to provide members with curated access to exclusive content, flavors, merchandise and brand-related experiences. This approach reflects Wingstop’s broader digital evolution, from their AI-driven smart kitchen technologies designed to improve speed and consistency (it’s significantly reduced wait times) to targeted marketing that broadens appeal across demographics.
Impact on Wingstop
Industry analysts say Wingstop’s entry into loyalty could help boost frequency, particularly during slower dayparts, and strengthen customer relationships in an increasingly competitive fast-casual market. (Some of Wingstop’s biggest competitors are Buffalo Wild Wings and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.)
Club Wingstop marks a significant milestone for the chain as it enters 2026 with both expansion in the US and Canada and enhanced customer engagement strategies in place.
