As you’d guess from the store count, Portillo’s was born in Illinois and is still headquartered there!

Over half of Portillo’s 89 locations are in its home of Illinois, but it’s expanding rapidly!
Maybe most so in #4 Texas where there are four stores being added to its existing seven. After that, it’ll likely be the #2 Portillo’s state.
