Getting a little bored with your usual Starbucks order?
I get it. I’ve been there plenty of times.
And the worst part is – often your “usual” order is often the best-looking thing on the menu, right?
So it’s hard to pick something else.
If this sounds like you, I’ve got a treat for you.

Starbucks has a huge secret menu
As you likely know, Starbucks has a huge secret menu (100+ drinks at last count) – cold Frappuccinos, hot drinks, special Refreshers, and everything in between.
But with all those choices lies the core problem – there are over 100 of them, so picking one is a little difficult.
That’s why I’ve narrowed down the list to just a handful of really great drinks – 10 top Starbucks secret menu drinks you can try right now. (These are in no particular order.) Let’s get to it.
#1: Cinnamon Bun Hot Chocolate
Ok, listen, chances are good you came to Starbucks wanting caffeine, NOT a hot chocolate. However – this drink is delicious, comforting, and super decadent. Is it cold outside, and have you had a rough week? Great, then try this amazing hot chocolate. Here’s how you do it:
- Your base order is a hot chocolate. Then these modifications:
- Sub breve milk (half & half)
- Modify to one pump mocha sauce
- Add one pump each of white chocolate mocha sauce, cinnamon dolce syrup, and vanilla syrup
- Top with whipped cream and cinnamon dolce sprinkles
And voila!
#2: Island Girl Refresher
Listen, I’m on the record complaining about how much sugar is in Starbucks Refreshers – but let’s face it, you’re on the secret menu for new and interesting stuff, not a health rant, right?
And this Island Girl Refresher is delicious. Coconut milk, peach juice, strawberry – it’s just about the most tropical drink you can get without flying to the Caribbean. And here’s how:
- Your base order is a Paradise Drink Refresher
- Light coconut milk
- Add peach juice
- Add one pump of liquid cane sugar (optional, but delicious)
- Top with strawberry and dragonfruit inclusions
#3: Pink Starburst Refresher
Listen, I love Starbursts. And this drink is about as close as you can get to one in liquid form. (That is, until someone figures out how to do a Starburst Slurpee.)
The secret is the vanilla bean powder – it gives that sweet complexity you know and love from pink Starbursts:
- Your base order is the Pink Drink
- Add 2 scoops vanilla bean powder
- Add splash of lemonade
- Add extra ice (optionally)
#4: Caramel Snickerdoodle Macchiato
I’ve always been a sucker for caramel (which, contrary to popular belief, you actually can make without dairy). There’s just something about that specific gooey sweetness that hits all the right notes for me.
Where was I? Oh right – this delicious caramel snickerdoodle macchiato. Here’s how you get it:
- Your base order is the Iced Caramel Macchiato
- Order it “upside down”
- Sub soy milk
- Add vanilla syrup and cinnamon dolce syrup (1–2 pumps each – if you love sweet stuff like I do, go for two to start. No such thing as too much flavor, eh?)
#5: Toasted Cinnamon Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew
It’s all in the name, right? Cold brew is great when done well – and Starbucks does it quite well – and then you add in a bunch of delicious sweet flavors. (The toffeenut syrup in particular helps give it that delicious “toasted” taste that really sets this apart from other cinnamon drinks, imo.)
- Your base order is Cold Brew
- Then add 2 pumps cinnamon dolce syrup and 1 pump toffeenut syrup
- Add 3 shakes cinnamon powder
- Top with sweet cream cold foam and cinnamon dolce powder (don’t neglect this step – it really enhances the drink).
#6: Narwhal Frappuccino
To be clear, I don’t know why it’s called that either – but this is a totally unique and refreshing drink with delicious notes of strawberry, vanilla, and matcha.
- Your base order is: Blended Strawberry Lemonade
- Add vanilla bean powder
- Top with matcha foam
#7: Leprechaun Frappuccino
Obviously it’s green and minty – and just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! (Although honestly you can get it any time of the year.) One of the things I really like about this Frappuccino is the fact that it has some strong undertones of matcha – that really gives it some complexity and body that you don’t get it in other green minty drinks (here’s looking at you, McDonalds Shamrock Shake). And here’s how you do it:
- Your base order is: Matcha Crème Frappuccino
- Add 1-2 shots peppermint syrup
- Blend in java chips
#8: Kit-Kat Frappuccino
Did the jingle just go through your head? I bet it did. There’s just something super nostalgic about Kit-Kats (and, by the way, if you haven’t had one in a while, try it – I think you’ll be surprised at how well they hold up). The Kit-Kat Frappuccino at Starbucks is…decadent and delicious. And worthy of the snack.
- Base order: Vanilla Bean Crème Frappuccino
- Blend in java chips
- Request that they line the cup with mocha drizzle
- Top with whipped cream, mocha drizzle, and cookie crumble topping
#9: Horchata Frappuccino
Horchata is one of my favorite drinks, hands-down. (You can actually make a Keto-friendly version at home. This drink at Starbucks? Distinctly NOT Keto friendly, surprise surprise.)
This secret menu drink gets pretty close. And it’s certainly a lot cheaper than booking a flight to San Diego to get the real thing.
- Your base order is: Cinnamon Dolce Crème Frappuccino
- Sub almond milk
- Request that they line the cup with caramel drizzle
- Top with whipped cream and more caramel drizzle
By the way, if you’re looking to save a buck, you can make this drink at home.
#10: Banana Split Frappuccino
Honestly, you’re going to love this drink. It’s a brilliant blend of flavors and a total treat. (And don’t worry – it’s flavored with real banana, not those gross fake “banana flavoring” liquids it feels like everyone uses these days.)
- Your base order is: Strawberry Crème Frappuccino (already an amazing drink all on its own)
- Add 2 scoops vanilla bean powder
- Blend in whole banana and java chips
- Top with whipped cream, mocha drizzle, and caramel drizzle
