If you’re here, you probably already know about the utter deliciousness that is Portillo’s!
Billed as “unrivaled Chicago street food,” it’s expanding rapidly across the U.S.
It’s famous for its hot dogs, its Italian beef, and its burgers, but Portillo’s also has various salads and chicken sandwiches.

Since Portillo’s started here, there are already almost 50 Illinois locations.
But here’s one more in the Chicagoland area. Many Portillo’s have decor themes, and this one will be fashioned after a racetrack.

When Portillo’s expanded into Texas in 2022, the Dallas area was the guinea pig. As you’ll see, things clearly went well!
This Grapevine location will be one of Portillo’s relatively smaller “restaurant of the future” designs. In this case, smaller still means over 6,000 square feet!

Remember how Illinois has almost 50 locations and a large number of those are in and around Chicago? Texas is still in the single digits, but a Portillo’s executive recently told a reporter, “Soon we will have more restaurants in Texas than we have in our home market of Chicago.”

Waterford Lakes will be Florida’s seventh Portillo’s location.
If you’re unfamiliar, it’s a suburb of Orlando.
This one’s so new, all we know on the address is that it’s Waterford Lakes, FL 32828.

The next six Portillo’s locations cover three states:
– Four in Texas (three around Houston, one around Dallas)
– One in Florida (near Orlando)
– One in Illinois (Chicago area)
