Ingredients
You don’t need a long list of ingredients to make chaffles! In this recipe we use superfine almond flour, mozzarella cheese, and almond flour.
- Almond Flour: While most chaffles don’t use any flour, we found that the addition of almond flour gave them more texture and made the chaffles sturdy.
- Cheese: Cheese gives chaffles they’re famous crispy texture and makes them so tasty!
- Egg: This is the binder that’s needed to hold everything together.
- Mini Waffle Iron: This recipe makes mini crispy cheese waffles (aka chaffles) and a mini waffle iron is a must! This is the one I used to make these beauties!

Almond Flour Chaffles Recipe
These keto chaffles are super easy to make and are the perfect size for sandwiches or mini pizza!
Step One: Preheat your mini waffle iron.
Step Two: Mix the eggs, shredded cheese, and almond flour together in a small bowl. The mixture will be thick and dense.
Step Three: Grease the waffle maker with your favorite cooking spray and scoop half the batter (about 1/4 cup) into the waffle maker. Use a spatula to spread the batter to the edges of the waffle iron.
Step Four: Close and cook the chaffle for 4-5 minutes, or until the steam no longer escapes from the sides of the iron. The chaffle should be golden brown and crisp. Remove with a fork or the spatula and repeat with the remaining batter.
The chaffles will stay crisp for some time after cooking, but if you refrigerate them you will want to toss them in the toaster over or air fryer to recrsip them.
