Chick-fil-A is planning a major expansion across Ohio, with the popular chicken chain announcing plans to open 25 to 30 new restaurants statewide between 2026 and 2027 (and a few have already opened as of this fall). The rollout is expected to bring new dining options—and hundreds of jobs—to communities across nearly every region of the state, with several openings projected for 2026.

Timeline
While some of the new restaurants already opened in fall 2025, several locations are expected to debut in 2026, with others following in 2027 as construction and approvals are completed. Some openings are only listed as “in coming years” in Chick-fil-A’s press release, so it’s possible some could open past 2027.
Chick-fil-A says the expansion is driven by strong customer demand and continued population growth in Ohio. Each new restaurant typically employs 80 to 120 workers, creating a mix of part-time and full-time positions, including leadership roles.
Not all opening dates have been finalized and remain subject to permitting, construction timelines, and franchise operator selection. Still, the scale of the expansion marks one of the largest single-state growth efforts Chick-fil-A has announced in recent years, solidifying Ohio’s role as a key market for the fast-growing chicken chain.
