Chipotle isn’t just a great go-to for a quick and easy meal that’s made fresh to order. But it’s also a great option to meet certain dietary needs, whether vegan, keto, or paleo. With the chain’s commitment to real ingredients, Chipotle makes it easy to build and customize your meal however you please.
And that’s certainly the case when it comes to gluten-free food and drink. Of Chipotle’s 53 real ingredients, only one contains gluten: wheat flour. So that may mean the flour tortillas are off the table, but pretty much everything else is still on it.
If you live a gluten-free lifestyle and are looking for a meal at Chipotle, you’ve got plenty of options. Here’s the complete list: every gluten-free item (and ingredient) on the menu.

Gluten-free food and drinks available on the Chipotle menu
Chipotle is actually one of the best places you can go for gluten-free options, because so much of the menu is naturally free of gluten. Just keep one important thing in mind: like any other fast food or quick service chain, shared spaces are used to make the meals and there’s always a risk of cross-contamination – so if that’s something you’re particularly concerned about, order carefully.
That said, flour tortillas are pretty much the only thing to avoid at Chipotle if you’re gluten-free, so the only meals to stay away from will be the burritos and quesadillas. However, Chipotle offers burrito bowls, and outside of that plenty of other make-your-own bowls, salads, and tacos to choose from that all fall in line with a gluten-free diet.
With the nature of Chipotle’s menu – everything is essentially built the way you want it, from meats and cheese to veggies and salsas – it’s easy to create a delicious gluten-free meal, no matter what form it takes.
So without further ado, here’s everything on the current Chipotle menu that you can order (and build) to be gluten-free.

Chipotle chips are made of corn masa flour, sunflower oil, water, lime juice, and salt. Their chips are 100% corn and do not contain wheat or gluten.
All of Chipotle’s corn-based items – tortilla chips, crispy corn tortillas, and corn salsa – do not contain gluten. However, as with any corn-based ingredient, there is a risk that it will contain trace amounts of gluten due to cross-contamination with other grains from its source. While most of the ingredients at Chipotle are naturally free of gluten, if you are highly sensitive you can ask the employees to change their gloves before making your order.
Chipotle uses rice bran oil as their primary cooking oil. They use rice bran oil to cook their meat because of its high smoke point and mild flavor.
