It seems that the global economic slowdown is coming for everyone.
And now even pizza places!

Domino’s recently announced that it’s closed a whopping 312 restaurants – primarily in Asia, with 233 in Japan alone – as the chain swung from a sizable profit to a loss in the most recent reporting period.
The specifics: Domino’s reported to the ASX that it swung from a $92.3 million profit a year ago to a $3.7 million loss – its first since listing as a public company in Australia.
Meanwhile, Domino’s is facing all the same struggles as any other restaurant in 2025 – tariffs, fragmenting supply chains, and increasing food and labor costs.
