A major beverage company is preparing to shut down part of its Oklahoma operation this fall, resulting in the loss of nearly 200 jobs. The move is part of a larger shift in how the company handles its warehouse and distribution operations.
184 jobs will be eliminated
PepsiCo Beverages plans to discontinue warehouse operations at its facility at 510 W. Skelly Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 15, 2026, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) filing. The move will permanently affect 184 warehouse employees.
The affected positions include 63 warehouse workers and 57 forklift operators, along with checkers, inventory control specialists, lead workers, supervisors, truck jockeys, and other employees.
Employees have already been notified of the upcoming layoffs.
Pepsi production will continue
Despite the warehouse closure, the Tulsa facility itself is not shutting down completely.
PepsiCo plans to continue beverage production at the existing facility while moving warehouse operations to a new location elsewhere in the Tulsa area. The company has not publicly identified the new warehouse location or the logistics provider that will handle the operation.
PepsiCo said it is working to help affected employees find other opportunities, including positions at the existing Tulsa facility or nearby PepsiCo locations. The company is also providing assistance for workers interested in applying for jobs with the new logistics provider.
Another major PepsiCo workforce reduction
The Tulsa cuts come amid other changes to PepsiCo’s distribution network. Earlier this year, a Frito-Lay warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga, California, closed, eliminating 248 logistics and distribution jobs.
PepsiCo has been emphasizing productivity initiatives, including automation, digitalization and simplifying its operations, as it works to improve efficiency. As a result, thousands were laid off just last year.
For the 184 Tulsa workers affected, the upcoming November 15 deadline represents a significant change, even though PepsiCo’s beverage production will continue at the longtime facility.
