Restaurant grew from family’s American dream
The owners said Angelo’s grew from their parents’ experience after immigrating to the United States from Greece.
Their father’s first job in the country was washing dishes at a restaurant, even though he did not yet speak English. After demonstrating that he was a hard worker, he was offered a position as a cook. That opportunity eventually led to the creation of Angelo’s Family Restaurant.
The family said four generations of customers have walked through Angelo’s doors during its 26 years in business.
Community memories span generations
The owners said they not only raised their own families at the restaurant but also watched many customers raise their families there.
