If you’re like me, you’ve been to KFC tons of times and enjoyed its food throughout your life.
Especially the fried chicken and mashed potatoes, right?
And while I’ll always be nostalgic for the greatest hits, you’ve probably noticed the KFC menu has had some items added – and you’re gonna love them.

I’ve selected a few that are really excellent – and emblematic of flavors and changes I’ve wanted to see from KFC for years.
(In some cases, many years.)
And with that, let’s hop into the list!
Starting with the obvious banner leader…

If you’ve previously ordered KFC’s chicken tenders hoping they’d taste just like KFC’s regular chicken…
Chances are good you were disappointed.
And let’s face it – with competitors like Raising Cane’s and Popeyes gaining traction, KFC needed to up its game.
Their original recipe fried chicken tenders are the perfect fulfillment of this long-term dream!
They’re made just like its regular chicken – now without the bones and extra mess!

You can, of course, get the tenders in a number of different combinations:
– Tenders only (8/12/16 pc)
– As meals (ranging from eight tenders, two sides, four biscuits, and four dipping sauces…all the way up to 16 tenders, four sides, eight biscuits, and eight dipping sauces)
– As part of a number of combos, my favorite being the 2 sandwiches + 4pc tenders combo – with two drinks and two sides, plus sauce on the side.

As you know, KFC has long relied on its delicious (and eponymous) KFC sauce for people looking for a little something extra with their chicken.
More recently, its Sticky Chicky Sweet ‘n Sour Sauce was introduced to give some diversification.
But now KFC has a new proprietary flavor…

That’s right, KFC has introduced its own “Comeback Sauce” – a creamy, peppery sauce that you’re gonna love.
(If you’ve been to smaller fried-chicken chains, chances are good you’ve had comeback sauce before – they’re all pretty similar.)
It’s served alongside the tenders – grab a couple extra if you can, you’re gonna need them!

This brings the total number of sauces you can get at KFC to 10:
– Comeback Sauce
– Sticky Chicky Sweet ‘n Sour Sauce
– KFC Sauce
– Ranch
– Buffalo Ranch
– Honey BBQ
– Honey Mustard
– Honey Sauce
– Hot Sauce
– Ketchup
So you’ve got a lot of options! Now on to dessert…

KFC’s cherry pie poppers are just about the perfect dessert in my opinion – they’ve got this beautiful buttery crust that flakes a little bit when you touch it, and they’re filled to bursting with a delicious warm cherry filling.
These cherry pie poppers replace the apple pie poppers, which were also quite good but couldn’t quite measure up to these.
You get four in an order; I’d grab two just to make sure you’re well covered. They’re pretty addictive!

If you like lemonade and you like cranberries, then you’re gonna love this drink.
It’s just that simple.
I find the tartness makes it all the more refreshing, and it’s exactly the kind of simple drink combination I’ve wanted KFC to do for years to elevate their menu a little extra.

So there you have it – four delicious dishes KFC has FINALLY added to its menu, all of which you 100% should try.
(I’d particularly recommend the Comeback Sauce. Seriously – it’s that good!)
