Georgia’s fourth Buc-ee’s is no longer just a construction project with a broad 2027 target. New recruiting materials now point to a late-summer 2027 opening for the Monroe County store, adding a more specific timeline to the project covered in our previous Georgia Buc-ee’s update.
The travel center is under construction near Interstate 75 and Rumble Road, close to Forsyth. Buc-ee’s broke ground there on April 7, 2026, with company founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III and local officials attending the ceremony.

Fresh job listings sharpen the opening timeline
A Buc-ee’s management posting published through WorkSource Georgia says the company is “coming to Monroe County, Georgia” and describes the store as opening in late summer 2027.
The posting is for an assistant deli and food-service manager, which is another sign the company is beginning to build the management team well ahead of opening day.
That does not amount to a specific grand-opening date. Construction schedules can move, and Buc-ee’s has not announced a particular day or week for the Monroe County launch. But “late summer 2027” is more precise than the broader 2027 window that had circulated earlier.
The store will add another Buc-ee’s to I-75
Monroe County’s April groundbreaking announcement described the project as a major new travel center west of I-75 at the Rumble Road exit. Plans call for a roughly 74,000-square-foot store with about 100 fueling positions.
The site will extend Buc-ee’s already substantial Georgia footprint. The chain operates locations serving the Warner Robins/Fort Valley area, Adairsville/Calhoun and Brunswick. The Monroe County store will become Georgia’s fourth.
Its location also reinforces how important I-75 has become to Buc-ee’s. The interstate carries heavy north-south traffic through Georgia and connects Atlanta with Macon, central Georgia and Florida.
Monroe County records show road-related work has been progressing around the development as well. The county accepted right-of-way associated with the project while construction moved ahead, giving local officials another concrete role in preparing the site.
The newest signal, though, is the hiring language. Buc-ee’s is recruiting managers now for a store it says is coming in late summer 2027.
Starting management recruiting this far ahead also fits the scale of the operation Buc-ee’s is building. A new travel center has to staff food service, retail, maintenance and management teams before opening, so the job language is a practical planning signal even though it is not the same thing as a formal grand-opening announcement.
That timeline can still change before opening day, but it gives Georgia road-trippers a much clearer idea of when the state’s next beaver-branded travel center could finally open its doors.
