(And what happens next is…even worse?)
Ok, so, here at The Coconut Mama, we don’t yuck anyone else’s yum if we can help it. Everyone has their own lifestyle and approach for things!
While we’re all about all-natural living and all things coconut – especially given coconut oil’s many health benefits – that doesn’t mean I don’t have a bite of cheesecake or some nachos every now and then.
But there are limits. Right? Like, sometimes something is just objectively terrible. And today’s video is just such a great example of that.
Hot dogs, gelatin, bundt pan (the cook is making a hot dog salad – like one of those jello fruit salads) are just a rough combo.

But the next recipe is maybe even worse?
Because then the same cook sprinkles steak with that yellow powder from the mac n cheese box.
I just can’t.
Now. Maybe you’re thinking, “gosh those recipes sound good, the only problem is that I have a dietary restrictions” – if so, then I’ve got good news for you:
Dietary modifications are easier than ever
So if you want to make something like the recipes in the video below, you CAN.
For example, there are tons of vegan alternatives to milk, some of which (like coconut milk) can give you that really wholesome consistency and thick mouthfeel.
This has been true in homecooking for a long time, although there are certainly more choices and brands available today than there were even five years ago. (You don’t just have to eat oreos if you’re vegan)
But one of the things I’ve been most encouraged by is the proliferation of alternative diet-friendly menus and options at popular restaurants.
Gone are the days when vegans have to eat a plain salad at major chain restaurants and drink black coffee at Starbucks. Nowadays a handful of easy substitutions can make a lot of things happen.
We’ve compiled a few lists to help:
- Starbucks vegan menu
- Taco Bell vegan menu
- Panera Vegan menu
- Chipotle vegan menu
- McDonald’s vegan menu
With that in mind, if you want to do the recipes in the video (and in my opinion you should not, but hey – again, do whatever makes you happy!), here it is:
