Krispy Kreme is trying to drive signups for its free Krispy Kreme Rewards program, so they’ve decided on a delicious giveaway that’s borderline too good to be true.
You get a free dozen doughnuts when you sign up for their rewards program. You have to give them your name, email, and zip code – add your birthday if you want a free doughnut on your birthday – and choose a password. It took me all of 30 seconds to sign up.
And then I got an email from Krispy Kreme within 30 seconds with a code I could apply to a future order to get a dozen original glazed doughnuts for free.
Pretty sweet, if you ask me!
(And if you don’t want to go through their website, hook your account up with the Krispy Kreme app on your smartphone instead – that way you can just show it at the cash register and get your free dozen!)
Why sign up for Krispy Kreme Rewards?
Aside from the free dozen? (Let’s face it – not proud of this, but I at least have given away my email for far less…)
Well, the first question is – do you like Krispy Kreme doughnuts? Or maybe their drinks? If you do, then this is a free way to get a little back every time you spend money there. You get 10 rewards points for every $1 you spend at Krispy Kreme. You can redeem those rewards points for doughnuts, drinks, and more. Just a few examples:
- Free hot chocolate: 250 points
- Free classic doughnut: 250 points
- Free original glazed doughnut: 150 points
Also, the deals get even better as you amass more points. For example:
- Free dozen original glazed doughnuts: 1400 points. (If redeeming individual original glazed doughnuts one at a time at the 150 point price, you’d be spending 1,800 points for a dozen.)
