Olive Garden is preparing to open three new Texas restaurants before the end of 2026, with the first scheduled opening just days away. The chain has listed new locations in Tomball, Edinburg and Austin, giving diners in three parts of the state specific dates to watch.
Even as some Olive Garden customers debate whether the chain still offers good value, the company is adding more dining rooms. Its official new-location calendar lists all three Texas restaurants as upcoming, with openings spread between October 26 and December 28.

Where the three restaurants are opening
Tomball โ October 26: The first Texas opening on the schedule is at 27651 Tomball Parkway, in the Tomball Park area. The restaurant will be part of The Grand at 249, a developing shopping destination northwest of Houston. Texas construction records describe a new, roughly 7,800-square-foot restaurant at the address. Its opening date is listed by Olive Garden, rather than inferred from the construction timetable.
Edinburg โ November 2: A week later, Olive Garden plans to open at 605 E. Trenton Road in the Rio Grande Valley. The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation has described the restaurant as the city’s first Olive Garden and placed it at The Shoppes at Rio Grande Valley. State records identify the project as a newly constructed full-service restaurant. For Edinburg diners, that means a location in their own city rather than a trip to another community.
Austin โ December 28: The third restaurant is scheduled for 5010 W. US Highway 290 WB. This is a new building project, not simply a new sign on an existing restaurant. According to a Texas state filing, plans call for demolishing a previous full-service restaurant structure and constructing a new Olive Garden at the site. The chain’s current calendar places the opening in the final week of the year.
What Texas diners should know
The dates are the company’s scheduled openings, not a declaration that the restaurants are already welcoming guests. In particular, the Austin opening is planned for the days between Christmas and New Year’s, so anyone hoping to visit over the holidays should check the restaurant’s listing before making plans.
Texas accounts for three of the nine openings Olive Garden currently lists for the remainder of 2026. Its other scheduled additions are in Florida, Ohio, Idaho, Colorado and Georgia. The Texas locations stand out because they cover different parts of the state: the Houston-area suburbs, the Rio Grande Valley and the Austin area.
There is also a difference between a restaurant’s building record and its opening day. Texas regulators track construction and inspections, while Olive Garden posts the dates it expects to begin serving diners. For the most current plans, customers can check the company’s location calendar, which includes the addresses and telephone numbers for all three new Texas restaurants.
