If you want the softest, smoothest lips ever, make your own Seriously Kissable Lips DIY Sugar Lip Scrub, made with simple, wholesome ingredients and the scent of cinnamon and vanilla!
Throughout the year, our lips may become dry, flaky, cracked, or just feel plain dehydrated. Especially in the dry or cold months, our lips tend to suffer most. Even just after a slight head cold, our lips might need some extra TLC.
For those times of need, your lips require a little treat. Make your own homemade Seriously Kissable Lips DIY Sugar Lip Scrub! This scrub is so simple to make and uses common pantry staples coconut oil, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. These warm, aromatic spices give this lip scrub a delicious scent and flavor, all while exfoliating and hydrating your kissable lips!
How Does a Lip Scrub Work?
A lip scrub works just like any other sugar-based body scrub. The addition of sugar in scrubs is for the purpose of exfoliation. As you rub the scrub into your lips, the small sugar crystals help to take off any dead skin cells on the lips and inner corners of the mouth.
Then, the addition of coconut oil helps your lips stay hydrated, even after exfoliation. The vanilla and cinnamon create a pleasant aroma that smells (and tastes) great! Scrubbing your lips in this way is the perfect first-step in a makeup routine, creating a clean canvas for lipstick. If you are not a makeup-wearer, lip scrubs still create the perfect kissable blank canvas.
Kissable Lip Scrub Flavors
Adding scents and flavors to your lip scrub creates a more kissable experience! If you are smooching with a loved one, it’s nice to use a scrub that leaves a lingering scent in addition to smoothing out your lips. The addition of vanilla and cinnamon will leave your lips smelling delicious!
