When you woke up this morning, did you feel just a little luckier?
Was that because it’s the weekend?
Or was that because St. Patrick’s Day is Monday?
Either way – it’s a great time to start celebrating this popular holiday! (But since tomorrow’s a work day, let’s keep it appropriate, eh?)
You know America runs on Dunkin’ – so let’s find some cool ways you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while getting your morning caffeine fix!

Pick up a St. Patrick’s Day Coolatta
Dunkin’s Vanilla Bean Coolatta is dyed green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day in select Dunkin’ locations around the country. It’s not minty, but it is, like, NEON green, so it’s definitely festive. (If you’re vegan, the Vanilla Bean Coolatta is unfortunately one of the drinks that has animal products, but you can ask to see if they can dye the Strawberry or Blue Raspberry Coolattas, both of which are vegan, green for you instead.)
Eat a Shamrock Sprinkle Donut (or Bring a Dozen to the Office)
The Shamrock Sprinkle Donut is a great addition to any St. Patrick’s Day breakfast. (Let’s face it, who really wants cabbage?) It’s chocolatey and covered with little green shamrock sprinkles (as well as “regular” white and yellow sprinkles).
Want to be really popular? Bring a round dozen to the office. Everyone loves donuts. (Especially for holidays.)
Drink a Mint Tea
Listen, as far as I’m concerned, everything mint-flavored is Irish for St. Patrick’s Day. (Except for maybe candy canes?) Dunkin’s Cool Mint Herbal Infusion is a peppermint tea that’ll be great for soothing your throat if, like me, you’re fighting seasonal allergies. And if the flavor isn’t strong enough for you, consider adding a drop or three of peppermint extract.
Try a Mint Hot Chocolate
While we’re talking about warming, minty drinks…have you tried Dunkin’s hot chocolate? If Spring hasn’t quite sprung where you are (a friend of mine in Colorado sent me photos of the foot of snow they just got), then consider this permission to drink something indulgent to ward off the cold for just a little longer.
And let’s face it – Dunkin’s base hot chocolate recipe is already thick and luxurious, so you know the mint hot chocolate will be even better!
Make a Dunkin’ Mint Hot Chocolate Ganache
This idea comes straight from Dunkin’ itself – scroll down to the bottom of the article, and you’ll see their recipe for DD Mint Hot Chocolate Ganache – basically, it’s just 1/2 cup of their mint hot chocolate and a bag of chocolate chips.
Simple and straightforward.
And here are a few ideas of what I’d top with it:
- Pancakes
- Chocolate cake
- Chocolate mug cake (way easier)
- Your own donuts
However you celebrate, stay safe out there and enjoy yourself!

Then try out this coconut milk creamer in your coffee – you can dye it green, and it tastes absolutely decadent:
