Buc-ee’s is not slowing down.
After years of turning oversized gas stations into road-trip destinations, the Texas-based chain has another wave of travel centers lined up across the country. For drivers tracking every interstate highway where Buc-ee’s can already be found, the next few years could bring several new stops to major corridors in Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, Kansas, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
Buc-ee’s official website currently lists 15 estimated upcoming openings and cautions that the dates are subject to change. The next 10 on the list stretch from August 2026 through 2027.

1. San Marcos, Texas — August 12, 2026
The next Buc-ee’s expected to open is in San Marcos, Texas, along Interstate 35 between Austin and San Antonio.
Buc-ee’s confirmed that the roughly $47 million travel center will open at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12. The store will span about 74,000 square feet and include more than 100 fueling stations.
2. Benton, Arkansas — August 17, 2026
Arkansas will get its first Buc-ee’s just days later.
The Benton travel center is scheduled to open to the public at 6 a.m. on Monday, August 17, at 1400 Highway 229. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. The store is expected to include 120 fueling positions, 25 EV charging stations and roughly 74,000 square feet of retail space.
3. Murfreesboro, Tennessee — 2026
Tennessee is also expected to get another Buc-ee’s before the end of 2026.
The Murfreesboro location is listed by Buc-ee’s for 2026, while recent expansion reporting has pointed to November 16 as the expected opening date.
4. Ruston, Louisiana — 2027
Louisiana’s first confirmed Buc-ee’s is planned for Ruston in 2027.
The store is expected near Interstate 20 and Tarbutton Road, giving the chain a major stop along a busy east-west travel route through north Louisiana. Buc-ee’s lists Ruston among its 2027 openings.
5. Kansas City, Kansas — 2027
Kansas is expected to join Buc-ee’s map in 2027 with a location in Kansas City.
The store is planned near Interstate 70 and Village West Parkway, placing it close to one of the state’s busiest travel and retail areas. Buc-ee’s lists Kansas City, Kansas, for 2027.
6. Gallaway, Tennessee — 2027
Another Tennessee location is listed for Gallaway in 2027.
That would give Buc-ee’s an even stronger presence in the Volunteer State, where the chain already has operating stores and more development underway.
7. St. Lucie, Florida — 2027
Florida is also in line for another large Buc-ee’s.
Buc-ee’s lists St. Lucie, Florida, for 2027. The project has drawn attention because planning documents described a massive store with 120 gas pumps, hundreds of parking spaces and EV charging.
8. Boerne, Texas — 2027
Buc-ee’s home state is not being left out of the expansion.
Boerne, Texas, is listed for a 2027 opening, adding another travel center in the fast-growing region northwest of San Antonio.
9. Monroe County, Georgia — 2027
Georgia is expected to receive another Buc-ee’s in Monroe County in 2027.
That would add to the chain’s existing presence in the state and give Georgia drivers another oversized stop for fuel, food, bathrooms, brisket and Beaver Nuggets.
10. Mebane, North Carolina — 2027
North Carolina’s Buc-ee’s debut is currently targeted for late 2027 in Mebane.
The store has been planned for the Trollingwood-Hawfields Road area near Interstate 85 and Interstate 40, a major travel corridor between the Triangle and the Triad. Buc-ee’s broke ground on the site in June 2026, with a company spokesperson confirming a fourth-quarter 2027 opening.
More stores are already waiting behind them
These 10 are not the end of the list.
Buc-ee’s also lists Lafayette, Louisiana, for 2028; Ocala, Florida, and Oak Grove, Kentucky, for 2029; West Memphis, Arkansas, for 2028; and Hardeeville, South Carolina, for 2031.
The dates may shift, especially for projects that still require road work, permitting or final construction. But the overall direction is clear: Buc-ee’s is turning its cult-favorite road-trip brand into a much bigger national footprint, one massive travel center at a time.
