Whole Foods Market is expanding again, with three new locations opening in Brooklyn (NY), Hoboken (NJ), and Lakewood (CO). The moves reflect the company’s mix of compact city stores and larger suburban locations, all emphasizing local products and convenience.

Brooklyn Daily Shop: 774 Grand Street
The new Daily Shop in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood at 774 Grand Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211, will open on Thursday December 11, 2025, at 8 a.m.
The “Whole Foods Market Daily Shop” concept is a smaller format for cities. They’ve opened four of these already (three in the NYC area and one in Arlington, Virginia).
This one will be a svelte 7,888-square-foot store and is designed for quick urban shopping, offering more than 350 locally sourced products from over 250 Northeast suppliers. Shoppers can grab ready-to-eat meals, produce, meat, and Whole Foods brand staples, all in a compact, convenient layout perfect for busy city life.
Hoboken Daily Shop: 101 Washington Street
A second Daily Shop concept will open across the Hudson in New Jersey.
Hoboken’s first Daily Shop opens Thursday December 18, 2025, at 8 a.m.
This one’s even smaller!
The 4,841-square-foot location will feature fresh meals, produce, meat, and curated grocery items. As it will be doing in Brooklyn, Whole Foods is planning special opening-day events, including sampling from local vendors, a limited-edition tote for the first 300 shoppers, and donations to the Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program.
Lakewood flagship: 14225 W. Colfax Avenue
Fans of the larger-sized Whole Foods stores will also be getting one.
In Colorado, the new Lakewood store opens Tuesday December 9, 2025, at 8 a.m. The 49,500-square-foot location nearly doubles the size of the old store, adding more grocery aisles, parking, and space for local suppliers. Shoppers can expect 800+ locally sourced products from more than 200 Colorado-based vendors. Prepared foods, fresh meat and seafood, beer and wine, and produce are all expanded. The first 300 shoppers will receive a custom tote and a “Secret Saver” coupon worth up to $100.
What this means
These openings show Whole Foods’ dual strategy: small, city-focused Daily Shops for convenience and larger suburban stores for a full grocery experience. Local sourcing, community engagement, and accessibility remain central to its growth strategy, whether in bustling Brooklyn streets, dense Hoboken neighborhoods, or suburban Lakewood corridors.
Honk if you love Whole Foods more than Trader Joe’s!
