It’s no secret that we love almond milk here at Coconut Mama (especially making our own), and so we thought we’d compile the top 9 almond milk brands in America!
You’ve likely heard of these, and they may not be a big surprise to you – what will be a surprise is how much money each of these brands has made in one year, which we will list for each brand.
Let’s jump in!

The top 9 almond milk brands in the USA
Starting with the lowest grossing almond milk brand, you’ll see how massively the sales jump from 9th to 1st! This is based on the 2021 stats provided publicly by Statista.
#9: MALK Organics
Based in Austin, Texas, MALK Organics puts a premium spin on almond milk. They’re marketing is very straight-forward, showcasing simple, clean, minimal-ingredient products that are a refreshing change from big corporation marketing.
However, since they are newer to the business, they’re currently at the bottom of this list in terms of how much money they’ve made through their products: $1.63 million dollars in the year of 2020-2021.
I have sneaking suspicion that these guys will jump up a spot or two in the next year…
#8: Hiland
Hiland Dairy is a company that isn’t just dairy-free (as the name implies). They have many products from cheeses to creams to dairy-free options – including almond milk.
Like MALK Organics, Hiland offers a classic almond milk along with unsweetened options flavored with vanilla or nothing at all, giving you a bit more variety to choose from.
Their total sales numbers were $2.68 million.
#7: All Mooala Brands LLC
Stemming out of Dallas, Texas, Mooala makes dairy-free beverages – namely almond milk.
With easy marketing and fun box-art, Mooala Brands have grossed $3.05 million dollars in the 2020-2021 year, putting them at the #7 spot on this list.
#6: Simply
Now we’re getting into some bigger numbers.
Owned by the Coca-Cola Company, it’s no surprise that Simply has some deeper pockets that allows them to market their almond milk, making the gap between this and the #7 spot understandable.
Simply made $30.54 million dollars in the year of 2021, an impressive number for sure!
#5: Califia Farms
We’ve finally reached our top 5 almond milk brands in America.
Starting the pack is Califia Farms, another brand dedicated to creating plant-based products and removing dairy from everything – and they’re well on their way to fulfilling their mission, raking in $97.92 million dollars in the 2020-2021 year.
#4: Silk
One of the more popular brands, Silk has been going strong for over 25 years, establishing them as one of the first dairy-free food pioneers.
Fun fact: Silk started out with soy milk and tofu, and expanded to include almond milk in 2010 – with massive success. Their total sales were $132.77 million dollars in the 2021 year!
If that number blows your mind, get ready for the top 3…
#3: Private Label
Rounding out our top 3 is private label milk, which means that a farm or company will create an almond milk with their own formula, and then package it with another brand’s name – an example is Clover Farm’s Dairy.
Private label almond milk is responsible for $283.85 million dollars in the 2020-2021 year, over twice the amount of #4 on this list!
#2: Silk Almond
Silk Almond is the sub-company of #4 on this list, and is responsible for Silk Almondmilk (spelled as one word). It is a massively successful operation, bringing in $396.85 million dollars!
#1: Blue Diamond Almond Breeze
Finally, the top spot goes to Blue Diamond Almond Breeze!
A constant top dog in the almond milk business, Blue Diamond brought in a jaw-dropping $597.67 million dollars in 12 months from 2020 to 2021. That’s over half a billion dollars…
This is also over double of all the private label sales that were made for almond milk – quite the impressive feat for a single company!
Conclusion
And there you have it, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze is the #1 almond milk brand in America, making over $595 MILLION dollars more than #9 on this list.
Despite its massive popularity, it’s still a great choice of almond milk for your homemade vegan hot chocolate.
Now, I can’t see this almond milk giant being dethroned anytime soon – although I do see Silk Almond sneaking up in the back there…
