If you’ve heard about Tyson Foods lately, chances are it’s been the bad news.
That sort of thing.

And understandably – because, let’s face it, the US meatpacking industry is having a lot of trouble this year.
But let’s face it – when you’re up against a wall, that’s often when inspiration strikes.
And Tyson has just launched something pretty cool – a new brand of ready-to-cook foods called “Buena Mesa.”
Buena Mesa offers 22 different foods designed to be easily cooked at home.
They span beef barcaoa, queso with chorizo, seasoned fajitas, and more.
For the initial test, they’ll be available exclusively in Walmarts across Texas (reportedly over 450 stores will be carrying Buena Mesa for the initial rollout).
No one knows yet what future plans for the brand look like beyond this initial push.
Certainly the initial marketing is focused on Texas and Hispanic customers, so it’s reasonable to infer that an initial success could lead to expansion throughout the American Southwest – New Mexico, Arizona, maybe Southern California.
And from there, who knows?
Perhaps Buena Mesa will grace every American table one day.
If you’ve had a chance to try it, make sure to leave a comment letting us know how it tasted!
