Unicorn poop treats have been popping up everywhere on the internet so I thought I’d add to the mix of colorful treats with a healthy option, Unicorn Poop Fat Bombs.
I came up with the idea to make these unicorn poop fat bombs while making my coconut butter buttons. I love these little treats (as do my kids) but wanted to change them up with some flavor. While shopping at the health food store I came across a few packages of freeze dried fruit and I thought they would work to incorporate different flavors into the recipe. With each batch I added different fruit flavors and when I was finished we had a ton of different flavored butters that were both delicious and beautiful.
For sweetness I like to add honey or maple syrup. I have also used stevia in the past, but the alcohol in the specific brand I used didn’t bind well with the coconut butter (the batter slip). I have yet to use dates but I plan to try it very soon! As for other sweeteners, I believe you can get away with added a little bit of powder of liquid sweetener without disturbing the consistency of the batter.
How To Make Unicorn Poop Fat Bombs
To make the different colors of unicorn fat bombs I used a variety of freeze dried fruits and powdered them up in my food processor. To get each color I used these fruits:
- Green: Freeze Dried Green Apples (Buy it online here)
- Blue/Purple: Freeze Dried Blueberries (Buy it online here)
- Red: Freeze Dried Raspberries or Strawberries (Buy them online here)
- Yellow: Freeze Dried Pineapple (Buy it online here)
- Orange: Freeze Dried Mango (Buy it online here)

Once you pipe out the Unicorn Poop Fat Bombs, you’ll want to refrigerate them. If you leave them out too long they will melt and flatten out.
