California’s business outlook just seems to keep getting worse.
Whether it’s factories closing en masse…
Farms collapsing…
Or even whole industries shutting down…
California has had a rough year so far, for sure.

Not to add to the mess, but – pharmacies all across California are abruptly shuttering, with 235 closed so far in 2025 by Rite Aid alone.
Rite Aid is going through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is liquidating the vast majority of its stores (and selling the remainder). It’s closed over 700 pharmacies nationwide, but of course California represents a disproportionate amount of them.
It’s a sad state of affairs, especially for all the hardworking folks who will have to find new retail jobs.
Who’s growing in California these days? If you have ideas or leads for jobs, I’m sure any recently laid-off Rite Aid employee would love to hear them. Leave a comment and let us know!
