Pennsylvania is having a rough 2025, with factory closures rapidly piling up across the state.
Unfortunately, the situation is worsening, with growing fears that a recession may be incoming.

And in the latest news, three more factories are going under:
- Pladis, a British snack company, closed down its production facility in Mohnton in late March, with 55 jobs lost.
- Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate closed its Hazleton-based plant in late May at a cost of over 100 jobs.
- Pepsi shut down a bottling plant in Harrisburg just after Christmas, with another 127 jobs lost.
These are just the tip of the iceberg as tariffs continue to take their toll.
