Despite all the doom and gloom out there about tariffs an trade wars – and there’s plenty of it – the fact of the matter is that there’s an impressive manufacturing boom beginning here in the United States, with new factories opening and manufacturing jobs returning.

And while plenty of older industries and factories are certainly on their way out, the new era of manufacturing is just beginning.
Here are five factories leading the way – with 1,500+ new jobs confirmed:
- Sustainable Beef meatpacking plant in North Platte, Nebraska (opened in May; 850 jobs planned by year-end)
- Archer meat stick facility in Vernon, California (opening next month; should create 200+ jobs)
- KettleWorks, a new broth and soup production facility in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (opened in May to the tune of 150+ new jobs)
- Elopak’s new carton production plant in Little Rock, Arkansas (opened in May and added 100+ local jobs; produces egg and dairy cartons)
- Mars, Inc.’s new pet food facility in Lewisburg, Ohio (opened earlier this year, with expectations for up to 270 full-time jobs created over the next five years).
The USA’s manufacturing losses to date are real, and they’re painful.

And with any luck, great new facilities like these will help mark the tide turning.
