Intro (continued…)

Cane’s is expanding rapidly – opening new restaurants and new markets at a rapid pace.
They’re now well over 700 and opening more seemingly every day.
So if you don’t have a Cane’s near you yet…
And you live in one of these seven lucky states…
Then congratulations! Hopefully it’s about to get a lot easier to indulge in some delicious fried chicken.
Starting with…

Colorado

Cane’s now has 21 locations in Colorado with the addition of their newest store in Brighton last month.
Enjoy the delicious chicken, Colorado!

Tennessee

Cane’s is expanding rapidly in Tennessee; their newest location in Knoxville on Kingston Pike just opened on January 28th.
(That follows their Cumberland Avenue location opened in May 2024.)

Michigan

Cane’s is doubling its number of locations in Michigan (ok, I’ll admit, that sounds way more impressive than “Cane’s is going from one to two locations in Michigan – but hey, we all gotta start somewhere, right?).
Their newest location will be in Canton, a suburb of Detroit, and it’s opening in early February. There’s a third planned in Ann Arbor (I would guess sometime this spring), and of course there’s already the location in East Lansing.
No word on when the Upper Peninsula will get its fair share…

Iowa

Cane’s recently expanded its Iowa footprint to 10 stores.
In August, they opened their first location in downtown Iowa City, and in November they opened their fourth store in the Des Moines metro.
Lots happening in Iowa!

Georgia

Georgia currently has five Raising Cane’s locations…but the chain has big plans to expand.
The first two expected to come online are new stores in McDonough and Duluth, but all told there are at least six new locations planned for Georgia from now through Spring 2026.

California

California already has dozens of Raising cane’s locations (heck, there are three just in Fresno and four in Bakersfield!), but it’s getting even more.
More specifically, in November Raising Cane’s opened a new location in Colma – its 100th in the state.
Meanwhile, rumor has it that yet another location is expected in Valencia in the coming months…
Go California!

Connecticut

Connecticut only has two Raising Cane’s right now – one in Enfield and one in Simsbury – but that’s going to change soon.
More specifically, Cane’s (which only opened its first Connecticut location last year) is planning a new Bakersfield store for sometime in the summer or early fall of this year.
And I have a suspicion there are even more to come…

Summary

So there you have it – seven states adding new Raising Cane’s – either restaurants that just opened or are opening in the near future.
(And often both.)
Cane’s is in 40+ states now, so if you aren’t one of the lucky ducks who have one nearby right now, hopefully help is on the way.
Which brings me to an important question:
